Amaro Importante was born in Calabria, where the land offers herbs and fruits unique in the world. The Vecchio Magazzino Doganale team hand-picks and carefully selects the main part of the botanicals used, including PGI Rocca Imperiale lemons, sweet and bitter oranges and rosemary from the family gardens in Bisignano, bergamot from Pellaro and oregano from Palombar. Each of these plants spends some time separately in an infusion of water and alcohol, thus preserving the original characteristics of the raw material and respecting the seasonality.  As a result, Amaro Importante's ingredients take more than 11 months to assemble, without ever incorporating artificial flavours or colourings in between. The only item used for filtration is a piece of linen. Ingredients: wormwood, bergamot, vanilla, grapefruit, sweet and bitter orange, lemon, rosemary, oregano, gentian, rhubarb and eucalyptus. The complex Mediterranean flavour of Amaro Importante is recommended at room temperature or chilled, possibly with ice, and can also be surprising when mixed with bitters or vermouths.
