Elisir Novasalus is a natural herbal amaro liqueur made from an infusion of flowers, roots and herbs. More than 30 different plants (including burdock, dandelion, aloe, gentian, sea buckthorn, etc.) are used. It is one of only a few wine-based amaros. Consumption of Elisir Novasalus has a positive effect on the stomach, liver, gallbladder, intestines and pancreas and reduces the likelihood of drastic medical interventions. The production process masterfully combines plants from the surrounding high Alps with dry Marsala wine and a unique sap from Sicily. The result is a bright, bitter, savoury, extremely complex and multi-layered amaro where different aromas gradually emerge one after the other. The drink smells of mountain herbs. The taste is bitter, herbaceous, fresh and clean in the mouth, with a long and bitter finish. It is one of the more serious digestives. It is particularly suitable after a hearty meal. It is recommended to be consumed warmed to improve digestion. It can be consumed in small glasses, neat or on the rocks, as a condiment in coffee, or diluted in water and used in cocktails. It has never normally been used in cocktails, but a drop or dash of Novasalus would add complexity to drinks with a sweeter profile: it adds depth of flavour and a vinous texture to mixed drinks. The real fun in drinking Novasalus starts with the first sip. The acidity of the Marsala wine washes over the palate, followed by herbal and ginger aromas. Every sip is different. Alc. 16%. 750ml.
