Wormwood is the main ingredient in this amaro, and a complementary blend of herbs from The Alps, citrus and spices lightens the classic bitter wormwood profile. The scent is reminiscent of a forest in summer. Alta Verde has a fresh, complex bitterness intertwined with a gentle sweetness and herbal notes that harmonise the drink. Alta Verde is rare among amaros because of its natural, light greenish colour. It is recommended to be served neat, on the rocks, with tonic or soda water and plenty of lemon juice. In cocktails, Alta Verde adds depth and a drying effect to sweeter drinks. It is ideal for use in cocktails with agave drinks - tequila and mescal are perfect pairings for this amaro.
