Grappa from Nebbiolo grape pomace from DOCG Barolo, Serralunga, La Morra, Grinzane Cavour areas. Aged for at least 4 years in 220 l acacia barrels. This is the only Barolo grappa with a protected geographical indication. The label is based on the original drawings by Romano Levi. Distillation method: open fire, intermittent. Grappa is distilled in the only copper still left in the world, which is placed on an open fire to distil the grappa. Immediately after distillation, the grappa is poured into wooden containers. One may smell notes of tobacco and chocolate in the grappa. The taste is dry and well-balanced, with a hint of liquorice and strong aromas of wood and spices towards the end. Alc. 42%. 700ml.
