Grappa Capovilla Amarone Legno Vintage 2013 46° 500ml
Vintage 2013. Grappa from selected grape pomace from Veneto used to make Amarone della Valpolicella wine. After distillation, the grappa rested for about four years in casks of four different woods: oak, ash, cherry and carob.
The nose is full of a wide range of aromas: honey, candied lemons and limes, fresh walnuts, chamomile and dried flowers. Then comes the fruit: pears, apples, Mirabelle plum, lime blossom and hawthorn.
The taste of the grappa is rich and thick with aromas. First the mouth explodes with exotic notes of pineapple, banana and guava. Then dark chocolate and vanilla take their place, but they do not play off each other, the balance between them remains perfect. The finish is gently and concentrated with spices: ginger, cinnamon, clove, and a field of beaks. These notes are accompanied by baskets full of grapes, peaches and Mirabelle plums.
When you return to the drink a few hours later, you will find other, juicier aromas dancing in the glass: ripe plums, nectarines.
Each bottle is hand-tied and sealed. The label that adorns each bottle informs you of the grape variety, the vintage year and the bottle number. The 2013 vintage produced a total of 2720 bottles. Alc. 46%. 500ml. From Veneto, Italy.
